Now if we could just get some 1RU & 3RU! Absolutely. And silver trim for those who want Gen 2 stuff to look more like old Gen 1 stuff. But crap, looks like we are also going to need a silver volume knob.

The sliver trim for my ERC-3 is on its way (with my new sub amp). I'm not so concerned about knobs and buttons, the blue back lighting consistency overcomes the differences in their colour.
Cheers Gary

The black trim for the UMC-200 is already in. Ordered and got mine a couple weeks ago. You have to call to order it...not sure why it isn't on the site yet.

I don't understand why they won't let you match gen 1 to gen 2.I think the ERC-3 with silver trim is just plain ugly.

Silver trim distinguishes the Emotiva brand, just like it does for McIntosh. To me the Gen 2 all in black has zero appeal. It looks just like another Pioneer or Denon unit. The silver trim off with just the silver screws looks good too.

This Wednesday I ordered a set of 3RU size black trim end pieces with the groove, Gen 1. These are for when I receive my new XMC-1 so I can change the black trim so it will match my other Emotiva Gen 1 components. This might sound too nit-picky for some but we love the way our Emotiva gear performs but also how it looks as matched units. The all black look fits in perfectly with our room decor. It arrived here on Friday. That is 2 days from Franklin, Tennessee folks! Two days from my placing the order online until it was sitting in my Seattle mailbox! Wow!Actually I didn't need it quite that soon, reg priority or PP would have been fine, but the unrequested but outstanding effort by the Emo gang is very much appreciated. Thanks Emotiva!

I've tried unsuccessfully a couple times now to get an answer to this, so maybe this thread will bear fruit: Does anyone know the screw size used for the trim pieces? Specifically for the UMC-200 (1.5RU), but I assume it's the same for all of them. I have my trim plates but no screws, and taking the whole unit to the hardware store to match thread sizes would be inconvenient.

The silver trim off with just the silver screws looks good too. Totally agree 100%. I like them with the silver so much better. Quite frankly, it was the look of Emotiva that got me checking them out from the pics I had seen in magazines. If they had been all black I may never have looked them up when I did.

They could leave the U series silver, move all the X series to the G2 look, and leave the R series as is - three distinct looks for each of the three series.

Not sure if I'm right about this but since the screw head is a metric size, then I'm guessing the thread is also. If you really need some, why not give Emotiva a call and I'd bet they'd tell you the right thread size or they'd set you up with some.

The allen head size has no bearing on the screw length or thread pitch.. My first attempt was at emailing Emotiva support, but a week plus later and I haven't heard anything back. A phone call may indeed be worthwhile. I figured the info may be useful to someone else in a future forum search, so asking here would have some added value.
