I have a question for the people in the know, in Prologic IIx everything is matrix from the L&R stereo signal, while in True HD the channels are discrete. If you apply prologic IIX to a 5.1 true hd signal(or any other 5.1 signal for that matter) do you still have the 5 discrete channels plus two matrixed surround backs or are you back to matrixing everything from the L&R signal only? In other words can you get "7.1" out of 5.1 while keeping the original discrete channels?

You get 7.1 from a 5.1 codec.

And keep the 5.1 discrete.
