Guess what I did?!?!? Living the dream!! Lucky man I'm not so bad, my wife also loves music but not as much as me, I think that I'm a little bit excessive in music listening. Same here frenchyfranky. But I think that's kind of the norm. I've found that us men can get a bit more absorbed in our hobbies in general.

My wife gave me Ragdoll for Chirstmas 2012, I love that album artwork! She is something... Your lovely wife, Diana Krall, or both? I would say both....

As you can see from my signature, we have a whole house audio system with control from every room. I am living the dream too. My wife and I have music playing 16 hours/day. We never Watch TV. On top of being a music lover, she is also a beautiful woman and a sweetheart... I am the luckiest man alive!!

I'm a fan of hers, I have 2-3 CD's but her last two efforts including Quiet Nights have been yawners in my opinion. She's often whispering instead of singing..

I have enjoyed listening to Diana , but I have enjoyed listening to the voice of Melody Gardo more. She seems to have a certain something in all her music. But I wouldn't say no to listening to either in live concert Cheers david

Not to overlook Patricia Barber........unreal recordings! In a class of her own for sure... Back to Krall, I have most of her albums (including all SACD pressings) and two of her concert videos (Paris and Brazil)Most commercially successful jazz singer in history.

I have The Girl in the Other Room and Live in Paris CD & DVD. Bought it a long time ago and still one of my favorites. May I recommend Holy Cole Trio's "Don't Smoke in Bed" & " Yesterday & Today" CD, also Mary Black's " The Collection" CD and lastly Rebecca Pidgeon's " The Raven" CD. The quality of the recordings are very good.

For the lack of any mention of her name,,,,,,I assume that " Nora Jones " is a given? Extra sultry on vinyl!

I have all Diana's albums but as jazz singers go, I prefer Tierney Sutton - which so far no one has mentioned surprisingly. Her pianist, Christian Jacobs, is one of the best out there.
