USP-1 remote control works with the Sherbourn CD-1?

Hi! Emotiva and audiophile newbie here.

I got an USP-1 a few weeks ago. I love it.
I understand that the USP-1 remote control works with Emotiva ERC units, but does it work with the Sherbourn CD-1 cd player?

My wife asked me to minimize the number of remote controls in the living room
