After wading through many unforeseen health issues we are finally the PROUD owners of the UMC-200!! My wife and I are 76 and 70 years old and about the only good thing we have left is our hearing. When we put our home theater together initially we felt very proud of what we had accomplished and received many compliments. After the financial crash of 2008 we found ourselves having to live frugally as we are both retired. Then, the main component of our system started acting up.
Originally we used a B&K Reference 30 preamp and enjoyed Great sound, but the B&K finally quit. All we can say is "Thank You B&K"
The sound that we are enjoying now is unequaled to anything we experienced before. Everything from the TV, DVD Audio, SACD and Blu-ray sounds crisper and fuller than ever The sound stage has been greatly expanded.
In order to install the UMC-200 into our system we had to totally disconnect everything and start from scratch Two old people with not good eye sight do not make for good installers After 10 hours and what seemed like miles of wire we did it and even had lots of wires left over, BUT, EVERYTHING WORKS!! Did the EMQ and now we JUST ENJOY!!
THANK YOU EMOTIVA!!!!!!

Congratulations on a successful upgrade. I'm impressed that you are still enjoying our hobby enough to research and buy quality components when needed or desired. Welcome to the Lounge and the Emotiva family. We're glad to have you and stand willing to help with any questions you might have.
Cheers!

Well done, there are plenty of people half your age without that level of commitment, they'd have given up after 10 minutes let alone 10 hours. I know you will enjoy your UMC-200 every single time you turn it on, I do.
Cheers Gary

Awesome to hear your story of dedication to your HT at your age, don't get me wrong I'm not saying you are old, it's jsut the amount of people I come across in their 30's to 40's who still don't understand how a phone works haha.
Congrats on the setup.....
