Once I figured out the mic USB cable needed a really firm push to get it seated I re-ran the procedure. This time I used a USB cable ext. to allow more freedom of mic position. I measured a wider area than the first time, a bit wider than 3 feet (higher and lower as well), and created a new filter. Same as last time, I pretty much followed the Orion's curve allowing Dirac to handle the peaks and valleys. This filter is MUCH better. The slight clinical sound is gone and the sense of space if wonderful. The Orions have always had great bass, only tapers off below 20Hz, but I was amazed. I played the old Telarc CD of Copeland's Fanfare for the Common Man and the bass drum thwack nearly knocked the wind out of my lungs. That disk has always been impressive but I have never felt the realistic, sudden, pressure on my chest before. Just fantastic!

Hi. Any update on this tool? I was thinking about getting one analog and connect it thru the Proc loop on my XSP-1. Has anyone tried that or something similar?

They've actually just come out with a new refresh of the product, in a smaller (and cheaper) form factor, the DDRC-24. You can check it out to find out if that might be what you're looking for.

Thank you for for this. It looks like the right equipment for a lower price. I will give it a try.

It sounds all great in the beginning , the you look at specs and it states internal sampling rate is 48 kHz, I've mailed them for a claification.
