I am looking at redoing my HT set-up. I currently have the Emotive Ultra 12, and was debating to sell that unit and replace it with a Classico 10" version. Would I be taking a step forward or back. Thanks, Brian

Brian, I'm not too impressed with what I see in a brief look at S&V's review of the CLS-10 sub. It has quite a steep mountain shaped peak in the 70Hz area (see the FR graph in link below) and is down -3dB's at 48Hz (there is a comment about a bass boost of +6 but that must have been a setting they thought was best). No mention of your others speakers, but this sub doesn't look impressive at all to me, especially for movies and even mediocre for music. The Emo 12 is considered to be very good for music and OK for movies. If $700 is your price range you might look at the SVS 2000 (sealed or ported). www.soundandvision.com/content/gallo-nucleus-classico-cl-2-speaker-system-ht-labs-measures
