Got an email from Emotiva today stating that there is no indication that the CMX-2 will be coming anytime in the near future. Does anyone know of any other brand of power filter that works like CMX-2?

Does anyone know of any other brand of power filter that works like CMX-2? I was wondering myself - particularly if any of the Furman units had DC-offset elimination in addition to their noise filtering, voltage regulation, etc., depending on which model. They are more expensive than the Emo units but have always been well regarded in the Pro world. I looked over the specs for many units on the Sweetwater site but I couldn't tell if they specifically handled DC-offset issues. I believe there were some posts that claimed hum elimination so they might, but I haven't seen it stated specifically.

The CMX-2 is available to ship Apr. 1st (my birthday) Should I?? Has anyone noticed a discernible sound improvement? And since it's only 2 outlets I would plug in a higher quality power strip to one of the outlets, having the Amp in one. Comments?

I definitely heard a smoothing of treble harshness with the CMX-2, as opposed to no filter. I heard the same smoothing using other filters. Cascading the filters seems to work well for sources, but not amps. It sounds to me like cascading filters on Emotiva amps limits the dynamics and sometimes chokes the bass.

I do something similar with my CMX-2. I have an Isolation Transformer plugged into one outlet of CMX-2 and then a Belkin Power strip into the Isolation transformer.

Does anyone know of any other brand of power filter that works like CMX-2? I have one I can sell you if you'd like if you live some place shipping isn't a killer. It has a bit of cosmetic damage due to my cats knocking it off the bar. The silver trim is dinged up some. But it works just fine. I used it after the cat thing for about a month. Only reason I don't have a need for it is I decided to buy a second Belkin PF-60, and now I just use that instead. The CMX-2 has just been sitting in my office in it's original box.
