gday all, sorry for not replying earlier, have had family commitments to attend to.
i have been observing the problems with the audio dropouts regarding the erc-3.
straight up i have notched up over 500 hrs on my erc-3 with not 1 dropout. and no i'm not affilated with emotiva or a chronic fanboy. i'm just a regular guy from australia who enjoys all things audio as well as other hobbies.
all of my collection of cd's are what i buy from from places like kmart & hifi shops & online.
i have no cd'rs or copied discs. while dont have any probs whatsoever in anyone in ripping discs i just dont like the sound of ripped discs, i know its strange but hey thats me.
i'm starting to think that maybe the discs that dropout with some of the owners that do occur just might be possibly that their occuring dropoout problems could be the disc or discs could be starting to break down?
i know you say what the? that same disc plays fine with no probs in another player in their rig or somewhere else.
i know & you guys know the laser assembly is of good quality & reliable.
i have a suggestion is that get in touch with emotiva & ask questions regarding the dropouts & also can they run a variety of factory recordings & ripped discs through their setups to see if they experience the same dropout occurences.
after all guys emotiva & their highly qualified engineers created the erc-1 & erc-2 cd players which after reading possibly your reviews as well as reviews around the world influenced me to purchase my erc-3 which has given me so much enjoyment.
please help them out in your problems & questions as they will as most of you
know will help you in turn.
critising the erc-3 wont help solve any problems that arise which in turn affects a possible future release of a erc-4 & beyond.
come on guys speak up!
you never know what may you miss out on in the future.
cheers chris
