You can use either a splitter from one sub output or use both the RCA and XLR sub outputs simultaneously.

The SB13 is a great sub especially for music and HT in smaller rooms. I did end up returning mine because it fell a little short of the HT slam I was looking for. I've ordered a Paradigm Sub 15 that I auditioned as it delivered what I wanted. I debated adding a second SB13 to see if that "got me there" but decided to go with the Sub 15 as I "knew" it satisfied. I'd say try the dual SB13's as you can always return them if need be.

I know I am such a fan boy but Power Sound Audio. If you want sealed check out the XS30. Ask Bmoney about his setup he is running two.

I run 3 subs, a pair of DIY 12" Dayton RFs (sealed) in parallel with the L & R mains (DIY MTMs), which run full range, and a 15" Bravox DIY (ported) which handles the LFE and low end from the center and surrounds.

I do agree a second one is probably needed for larger rooms for HT slam but one is still very serviceable. I really like my sub. A second one is on my list but I have other things to do first. Like a projector and a room to put it in.

in going for duals are you trying to even out dips in multiple listening positions or are you just looking for slam?

What I am in need of is bottom end that is great with music , can be pushed hard and isnt just insane for movie explosions. I yearn for a tight "fast' sub where it starts and stops when it is supposed to. The feel of a tight kick drum in my chest stimulates me . I want 2 tight subs one on either side of my Klipsch RF7's as I am used to an 18 inch thundering. I love it loud (classic rock) however I prefer quality over quantity , as such I considered 2 SB13 + . Ironically I narrowed it down to the SVS and the above mentioned PowerSound XS30 which is apparently on par with the SB13+ Thanks so much for your replies

I can't argue with your choice of the SB ultra for what you are looking for. However I can't help but think about having dual sealed LMS Ultras for kind of cash and a bit of sweat. Whichever way you go, picking up a real measurement Mic and some time investment in getting used to REW will help you acheive good bass quality. If you go for dual subs, you might want to look into a dsp that can eq each separately, unless you are planning on stacking them. It will work wonders.
