Anyone doing the following? Any issues with it?
Use unbalanced inputs connected to a prepro L/R outputs for HT.
Use balanced inputs connected to DC-1's balanced output (or other gear's balanced output) for 2 channel.
Use toggle switch on amp to select input type based on HT vs. 2-ch listening.
This would eliminate the need for a preamp-level HT bypass, since the prepro is connected directly to the amp.

They are basically set it and forget it.

I think a long time ago, this was mentioned and people do do it this way, but Emotiva reccomended against it and said it wasn't designed to do that. Not sure what the issue was but I think that was the gist of it. (Maybe I'm wrong here)

well Emotiva also discourages usin the DC1 anaolg for HT bypass as it wasnt "designed" to do so...but it worked flawlessly (minus bass management)
I would say emotiva advises against it...to cover their warranty end (not a bash a smart move if this is the case) although the switches aren't meant for everyday switching...unless they are complete crap...it will be fine to do this..just a PIA
