I just received a call from an Emotiva Certified Warehouse Pallet Loading Specialist about the problem: We have identified the cause of the outage. Lonnie was testing out a pair of prototype XPR-1XKR amplifiers in Big Dan's Differential Reference lounge. The XPR-1XKRs are 15,000 watt* ultra high current monoblock monsters. During a spirited listening session, the amplifiers pulled enough power to blow the commercial fuses at the building entry point. Electricity to Emotiva HQ was temporarily cut, which also took out the Emotiva.com webserver which is powered by a 1999 HP ProLiant server stuffed in Andrew's office closet.
Rest assured we'll be restoring the webserver ASAP. We're just waiting for Novell NetWare 5.1 to finish booting up.
* 15,000 watts into 8 ohms (0.1% THD, 20-20kHz +/- 0.01 dB)

Did the web site get unexpectedly changed after the outage? Last time I checked the product page for the Fusion 8100 said it was going to ship on April 1. Now that has disappeared. (Of course, it may have been an ill-planned April fools joke all along.)

I registered it just moments before you. I alone own the sole rights to it and am willing to sell it for... ...an XMC-1. ------------------------------------------------------------- Big Dan? Lonnie?

Damn,and here I was thinking about taking them up on their offer to buy the domain. You're too late, I've already re-registered the domain in my name. Big Dan should receive my ransom demands today, carried over by my alpha dog Lord Commander: If my demands are not met, I will unleash 10,000 kittens, each named Snuggles, into the Emotiva offices. There will be no survivors. Rest assured that I will return Emotiva.com once I have an XMC-1 firmly planted in my grubby little paws. EDIT: Blast! jmilton and I are on the same wavelength today (I dunno whether to be thankful or frightened). If only I was quicker at finding the right angry Chihuahua photo....
