A little rich for my blood, But being an Austin Native Stevie is on the top of my list. His brother Jimmy still plays around town.

That's about, what, $47 a disc!?! Either they don't plan on selling that many or they're trying to milk the fans out of their money.

One of the best guitar players EVER! His brother Jimmy can make a guitar wail also. I have three CD's of SRV and ech time I hear his music there is something new that I pick up or something that I forgot about if I have not play his music for a while. At much as I like him as a recording artist $280.00 is hard for me to swallow for 6 disc's. I have been putting off the Moody Blues collection for the same reason although 17 discs are a bit ofan improvement but not cheap. I have bought all the SRV from Mobile Fidelity over the last year for the wife. I am not a big fan like her but I think the SQ is pretty darn good.

The price IS steep. I would get it if it was closer to market value ....... roughly $100.
Family Values is an oft overlooked gem featuring Stevie AND Jimmy. If you're a fan and don't have it, get it!

I love the music of SRV and would love to have this but the price will keep me a looker rather than a buyer for now.

Yeah, I blanched a bit upon seeing the price. And only a few of Stevie's discs are recorded well enough to command such a price. Maybe they'll bust the set loose and let us pick the winners. But I damn sure ain't paying $47 a pop - $17-20 is more in keeping with reality.
