I may be picking up a Def Tech ProSub 1000 Tonight for $225 to add to another HT set up. Smaller room (estimated room size around 15x10). Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not this is a decent sub. I tried to find some threads comparing it other subs, however was not very successfully. Your input is greatly appreciated!

It's a $225.00 sub, I'm not sure what your looking for about this sub. It should make a reasonable rumble for HT but I would nor expect it to be musical or real responsive. Are you going to add this to another sub for the HT? If so, it will help avoid nulls in the room. Good luck Nick |

I wasn't planning to add another sub. I was looking at the BIC f12 / PL200 just because of the price point. They will be going in the bedroom so I don't want to spend a bunch of money. I don't spend any time in there as it is. Sleep is over rated. Do you have any recommendations that would be a better choice.

I have one and it puts out nicely. |

I don't know if it would compete but it produces a lot of bass , is somewhat very responsive but not exactly musical and it's half the price delivered. For HT it's a no brainer for volumus sound effects at a great price. |

Just curious as to why you'd want to spend money on a subwoofer that will get sparse usage if at all, especially since you've already stated you don't spend much time in there as it is, except for sleeping. If you have money burning a whole in your pocket, why not spend it improving your main home theater in stuff like room treatments and such. |
