Mine just arrived. It was easy enough to set it up. Just plugged two HDMI in and one out. Ran the automatic room correction and set the Enhanced Bass to "on." Set CEC Auto Source and CEC PWR Control to "on." Nothing else.
I am running a 5.1 speakers on the main zone and sending Zone 2 to a Sennheiser RS180 wireless transmitter for headphones.
WAF high since she finds the sound more detailed than the Sony AVR it replaces and there were no comments about the new blue lights. "The Good Wife" on speakers was clear. "Mad Men" on the speakers disappointing since Jon Hamm mutters many of his lines--so listened to that on the headphones. "Tosca" from the Met was perfect on the speakers. A hit so far.
Questions: 1. The DirectTV remote and the Panasonic TV remote do not control the volume on the Fusion. (They did automatically control the volume on the last two Sony AVRs without any actions needed.) Any suggestions?
2. What other parts of the manual should I master? Would it be overkill to manually configure the parametric equalizers or is this best left for a much later time after getting used to the system? The UMC200 and Fusion manuals seem to be identical in many parts so the UMC200 users here can help I'm sure.
