Hi All,
I have not used the home theater bypass feature on my USP-1 to date. I've been using 2 different systems with my main speakers hooked up to the preamp. Using an Onkyo TX-NR818 for zones 2&3. I just recently ran another set of speaker wires from the receiver to the 6.2s so I can use the towers for tv sound.
I tried hooking up the bypass feature to the receiver and I didn't do it properly because I did not get any sound. Maybe I am misunderstanding what the HT bypass is used for? I guess what I want to do is use the towers through the usp & receiver for tv sound without having to switch out the speaker cables from pre to receiver every time I want to do this.
How should I hook this up, and is this what the HT bypass is supposed to do? Am I still running the speaker cables to mono amps which is hooked up to the usp-1? I can call Emo Monday, but just thought I might be able to resolve this weekend.
Thanks for any help.
John

-Left/Right front preouts from receiver to USP-1 L/R HT bypass inputs.
-L/R bypass outs from USP-1 to amp(s).
-Speaker cables from amp(s) to L/R front speakers.
-USP-1 must be powered on, and HT Bypass must be selected.

Curious, have you tried both High Pass out and Full Range out from the USP-1? If not, try which ever one you have not been trying...

If I remember, bypass won't work with full range.

I use HT bypass for both L and R plus Sub hence High Pass output (not Full Range).
Cheers Gary
