Simply because these Polk RTi A9 are 100% efficient thru this low Freq. and I'm not a fan of crossover the tower upper their own rated capacities, I preffer let the towers working in their complete efficiency range, I think that this way the sound is more balanced and the subwoofer only playing the extra low-end of the tower couldn't. Thanks, I'll give it a try with my Klipsch. Did you try it? How was it?

i like the tower set at large to produce the bass that it can and the subs to come in before the towers drop off.
Peace,
Nick

Welcome to the lounge kbalabha, enjoy your new Emo toy and music as much as you can. I thing with your Polk RTi A9 it should be a good idea to crossover at 35 or 40Hz. Frenchy, you really think that low, would you please explain. I've been toying with crossovers in my Klipsch I just havnt gone that low. What are the advantages of doing so.curious in La. Nick I run my paradigm 100s without a sub it sound awesome.. cross over 0 cheers
