I wonder if anyone has had a problem with the HDMI board in a display? I have had to switch my UMC cabling from HDMI to component recently (from the UMC to the display). I was having a lot of trouble with drop-outs (video) from the UMC to my 10 year old Samsung DLP display (yeah, I know its old, but it still works good and I can't discard it for a new one). After much hair pulling, changing cables (Redmere to another), discussing the problem with the folks at PartsExpress, some talk with the Emo tech staff, and even with some Samsung users and 'experts', it was concluded that the board in the Samsung is not functioning properly. The board is no longer available. I will have to break down and buy a new display just because of a $100 board.
