Cool, I'll check it out. DIY tube amps are not for the beginner IMO because of the high voltages involved. But if you know what you're doing they can be fun. And they will absolutely make you appreciate the amount of work that goes into a really good sounding, well designed amp.

I recently completed building a pair of Bob Latino's M125 monoblocks.
140 wpc each from four KT 120 power tubes in Pentode, 70 wpc in triode mode.
Sound fabulous, and for 20 to 30 percent of the cost of equivalent built units!

I keep telling myself I need to get one of those Bottlehead Crack Kits and some HD 600's. I have a great soldering workstation setup with all the stuff I need. I retired last month so I have plenty of time. Anybody know any other kits for a beginner that would power small bookshelf speakers?
Oh, I am not a beginner on electronics just not an expert like I know you guys are. I've had several courses on working with high voltages. I have some certificates that say I can do it but it still scares me.
