Read many favorable reviews and I'm very interested in this amp for a small setup in my bedroom. How can I connect this amp to an airport express? My budget it limited and I'd like to not spend more than $100 on a dac or whatever it takes to connect it. Thanks!

The simplest way is to to use the analog output on the AE. It's the 3.5mm connector that can also be used as a digital connection as well, but then you would need a DAC between the AE and the mini x100.

The digital connection is optical. The 3.5mm output is dual purpose. Analog or digital optical

Alternative........I've found Mac internal DAC's to be pretty average in general. For my computer system I use a Behringer UCA202 (cost $25 on EBay) for noticeably superior sound from a pair of Airmotive 4's.
Cheers Gary

I have mine hooked up to the XDA-2 using optical. The newer AE versions are a little better, but still not high quality.

Go optical out to the new Schitt Modi, optical. It will sound way better than the analog out of the AE.
