Well, my first reaction is that most of us are here at the lounge agonizing over the back and forth news about my XMC-1 and this jmilton guy is out watching monkey movies. Then I visited Rotten Tomatoes and see it has 91%/93% ratings. Oh, maybe a decent movie? Then I remembered that I specifically drove down to the 7/11 many weeks ago to rent the Blu-Ray of Gravity which RT gave ratings of 97%/81%. Unless one is a huge, huge fan of Sandra Buttock, Gravity is the most overrated movie in decades, unless, that is, you enjoy 98% of a movie in which the main characters spend their time at the end of a space walk life-line twisting endlessly in the breeze.
At least Gravity wasn't in Dolby Atmost. Don't get me started on that useless piece of movie industry dropping profits recovery move cleverly disguised as a big audio improvement.
As Peter, Paul and Mary sang after Peter Seeger supposedly wrote (he actually "lifted" the words from a Cossack folk sing and the melody from a Russian folk song) from the popular folk song, Where Have All The Flowers Gone, the almost eternal lyric:
Oh, when will they ever learn? (О, когда они никогда не узнать)

Did I mention the blooper reel at the end where they sing, "Hey, hey, we're the Monkees"?

Just came back from seeing this with he family in an Atmos theater.
The apes sounded like they were flying over head during the city takeover scene.

Well, the movie preceding the new one IMHO was not very good. How was it in comparison with the immediately prior one?

I've been watching the Lounge go ape all weekend. I really enjoyed the first one and looking forward to this one. May go see it today (last day of my vacation).

I wasn't crazy about the first Franco one, but I am looking forward to this movie. Glad to hear positives
Mostly I wait for the bluray release though and just purchase them. I figure $20 for the bluray if I don't like it I can sell it or whatever I choose. VS. $25 on tickets, $15 on popcorn drinks. etc.

Especially since adding my Pendragons, this statement couldn't be any truer. After all we don't spend money on our hobby to be beat out by AMC now do we?
