Is it ok to use a UPA-200 for my L/R speakers and a UPA-500 for the center/surrounds? Would the difference in power create an unbalanced system in terms of the amount of volume coming from each speaker?
Thanks.

It will work just fine. Just make sure that you level match all your speakers.

I need a dB meter to do that, correct? Or does Emo-Q do that for me?

Is it ok to use a UPA-200 for my L/R speakers and a UPA-500 for the center/surrounds? Absolutely. I ran a similar configuration for a long time: XPA-200 for L/R and UPA-500 for Center/Surrounds. Lots of folks use multiple amps. Would the difference in power create an unbalanced system in terms of the amount of volume coming from each speaker? Nope! A non-technical explanation is that running multiple amps with different power output capabilities only affects maximum headroom, not normal listening volumes. You won't have a higher volume from the front L/R just because the UPA-200 is more powerful than the UPA-500.
