I have upgraded my sub and need to let this bad boy go. It is an oldie but still performs great.
The driver is a 12" Shiva MKII mated to the Parts Express 250W plate amp.
I built the box my self based on the plans from Adire which is 2'x2'x2' vented cube. I have it down firing with 2" wood feet to support it. It is made with 3/4" MDF covered with real wood paper backed walnut and finished with tung oil. As you can see in the picks I did not bother to veneer the back and bottom as they are out of sight so I figured why waste the time and money.
The sub performs great. I have been using in a medium sized basement HT and it will shake the couch on a concrete floor. It has a good flat response down to 20Hz where the rumble filter kicks in and response drops.
This thing weighs over 100 lbs so obviously a local sale (cash) and pick up would be preferred. I am in the Oakville area. Asking $100 for the whole thing. A beautiful sub that goes deep for a small amount of cash you can't go wrong.
