Yes, I will use both in the same setup. Why? Because I already have the XSP-1 and I will evaluate if the XMC-1 out pass the XSP-1 in SQ for 2ch listening.

Advantages: Analog bass management, Phono Input, 2 reference quality balanced inputs, no digital processing (RC or DAC) Disadvantages: Another box, higher cost, more complex cabling, no stereo bass HT bypass, no digital processing (RC or DAC) Neither brilliant or stupid Why? Well if you have a totally separate 2 channel system but want to share some sources it's a no brainer. Also if you listen to it and like it better then do it Why not? Mostly the disadvantages above, plus you might not be able to hear the difference.

I think there's a whole bunch of people waiting for XMC-1 versus XSP-1 reviews before they commit. I'm one of them, I'll either upgrade from a USP-1 to an XSP-1 OR get an XMC-1 and sell both the UMC-200 and the USP-1. So bring on the comparison reviews guys, plenty are waiting. The aforementioned should not in any way be considered as doubting Andrew, Keith or Lonnie's opinion, more simply reinforcing them. Cheers Gary

So if I want 2.1 or 2.2 stereo listening I'll need the XSP-1? The XMC-1 will not cover this, am I correct???
