So I'm looking for a little forum help regarding on wall wire management systems. What I'm referring to are things like snap on tracks, or plastic covers etc that help you run wires and hide them from view. You can get the "el cheapo" normal plastic stuff at any local hardware store. But what I was wondering, are there companies out there that make more high end stuff? Like perhaps versions that look like nice floor molding, but actually hide wires? Or perhaps, wanes coting that not only looks nice, but has "secret tracks" in back to hide wire runs? I'm looking for a way to help "sideways" wire runs from my rack cabinet (on the far right of the room) to the amps, speakers and TV that are more centrally located along the wall. Also, covering up some power cords would be nice too. I can of course do some internet exploring myself, but I was just hoping there might be some people here who have already gone down that road and know of some products that fit this bill. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Cheers ---- Bonzo

You might want to check out this website. It has more kinds of stuff if you check out the link that says more "find more floor covers etc. Most of these are to cover wires on the floor, but they might work for you on walls too. www.cableorganizer.com/cable-shield-cord-cover/

Remove baseboards and use a router and straight cut bit to cut wire runs in the removed or new baseboard. Notch out bottom (or top) of the baseboard for wire exits. Position the wires in the wire runs from top to bottom according to the sequence they exit.
Another option is to remove the baseboard and then cut out the wire runs in the drywall behind the baseboard.

I think that a fancier finish would draw more attention to it than just the standard version painted the same color of the wall.

Placing the wires on the wall and then hanging a tapestry on the wall to cover them might be an option. An added benefit would be the sound absorption from the tapestry!
