I'm a newb here so I will make this short and sweet. Received my XPA-3 about a week ago and now I can officially call my setup complete. I have KEF iQ9s, iQ6c center, iQ8ds surrounds with Polk FXi A4s doing back surround duty. I am using a Pioneer 1018 receiver as a pre-amp. I thought my KEFs were a big step up from my Polk RTi70s but the XPA-3 is making them sound even better. I get even more detail and fullness. On Jack Johnson's CD, Sleep through the Static, track 1, I can hear his guitar amp buzzing in the background. (something that I took note of when I was auditioning a pair of Paradigm monitors but couldn't hear on my Polks when I got home). Loreena McKennitt and Diana Krall sound amazing. Because of my 2 year old, I am intimately familiar with "The Wild" on blu-ray. The XPA-3 really allows the father lion's narration of the story he is telling to his son to be heard clearly during all the thundering bass during the first scenes of the movie. And as mentioned in previous reviews, it does allow the surrounds to open up as well. "Cars" on blu-ray, another well worn disk, has proven this nicely. Thanks Emotiva...Man, I love this hobby. ;D
