I'm looking to get one of these now that I've moved on to powered monitors without a volume control.

Going back through some threads I see there were some issues with left/right balance being off at low volume. I also found a review by an owner who said that the CF made his bass a little less prominent.

Have these issues been addressed by Emotiva? Or are they considered minor and just something you have to live with?

I do have balance issues at low volumes but I usually don't listen that low, and myself have never noticed any Bass issues, take that with a grain of salt as maybe what he was using before the CF was slightly making the bass more prominent

I find the CF to be very very neutral as what goes in comes out lol, after all it is only a potentiometer, I use it between my ERC-1 and XPA-1L's when I want the cleanest 2ch sound, bad CD's sound bad and great CD's sound great.

Mine is the unbalanced version, the balanced version may have less left/right balance issues due to being a 4 gang and not a 2 gang like the unbalanced one, maybe contact Emotiva and see what they have to say about that.
