She took it with her, which is only fair as I bought it for her to have at college, but damn, I sure got used to using it this summer! My 20 year trusty NAD finally died, so I was borrowing her amp as an interim. Problem was that I liked it so much, I did not look for a true replacement. So last night I hooked up a decent and once costly Denon AVR and gave it a listen, and man, I miss my daughter's amp! I miss her too, but I also miss the amp!
Signed, horrible Father Trey

It's November 10th, 2014. The sun is shining brightly outside. A fresh dusting of snow covers the lawn in front of the Delta Sigma (see what I did there?) sorority house. Father Trey's daughter is hanging out with her friends on floor 3, room 9...
Friend #1: "Hey, I've noticed your Father, Trey, has, like, been spending a lot of time here at the college and, like, in your room, even when you're not around. Like, Becca from Room 8 told me that Father Trey is just, like, spying on you to see what kind of boys you're hanging out with."
Friend #2: "What? No way!"
Friend #3: "I know, right? He really needs to back off and let you have your space, ya know? I mean, like, it's super creepy to think of some Dad out there sitting in his daughter's dorm room doing who knows what."
Father Trey's Daughter: "It's not like that at all. My Dad doesn't care what boys I hang with---"
Friend #1: "Wait, what?!"
Father Trey's Daughter: "--well, I mean he does, but not like that. He actually comes up here to listen to this Emo amplifier thingy. He misses it. He almost didn't let me take it college. It was tough on him, letting it go. Kinda like losing another child to college or something."
Friend #3: "What's an amp...amplifier? OH! Wait, my boyfriend has one. My boyfriend's is this big" (uses hand gestures).
Friend #2: "No way, girl! Get out! That's, like, really small. This one is WAY bigger."
Father Trey's Daughter: "I know, right?"
Friend #1: "Well, I want to hear this Emo thingy. Let me pull up my new Justin Bieber album...one sec."
Father Trey's Daughter: "I gotta stop you right there, sister. My father let me take the mini-X to college on one condition: 'Absolutely no Justin Bieber shall be played on this here amplifier.' He made me promise. So your stuff is not legit. Sorry sister. Let's listen to some Walk Off The Earth instead."
Epilogue: As WOTE's cover to "Somebody That I Used To Know" filled the halls of Floor 3 and wafted out the window, Father Trey smiled to himself and leaned back against a pillar in the entrance to the Delta Sigma dorm. "That's my girl," he said, and closed his eyes to succumb to the mini-X's 50 watts per channel (both channels driven into 8 ohms) of sweet music wash over him.

Actually I have a PA2-50 and really like it. It has two inputs and a remote for volume. Very useful. Great sounding amp. In fact, I'm using mine on my TV, with my usp-1 for now. Once I can get that Oppo Blue-Ray Player I am going to lose the usp-1 and use just the PA2-50....

Replaced a succession of numerous small solid state amps with an integrated tube unit a while back--and have no desire to go back.
