Not sure if this is right place for this question but I didnt want to spam the main technical board with it. Is there any indication on the current wait time for the Xmc 1 if I was to order today? Are we looking at days, weeks or months? Any ideas? Just assessing my options at the moment on $$$ vs wait time.
Thanks.

You must call Emotiva sales, they are in better place to answer your question.
When they started to feeding the pre-order list the estimated time to complete all the list was about 4 to 6 months if my memory is right.
I think it is worth the wait. I was waiting it for three years.

Consider the pre-order list dated to maybe '09 or so and they are already shipping units that were pre-ordered in mid-'12, they are making good progress. It certainly is not days, not a couple weeks, but likely at least a month.
But again...call Emotiva.

Thanks guys. I did indeed contact sales and they mentioned they are working through the list and at a guess that would take 6 months to open sales to the general public.

If you are in the need right now for a processor, you can buy a UMC-200 at 599$ for waiting the XMC-1 and you will benefit of the processor upgrade program of 25% off on your XMC-1, so a value of 500$ off on your XMC-1 buying, that's mean to the end your UMC-200 has cost you only 99$ and you could always sale it on used market for approx 300 to 400$ and contribute to reduce your XMC-1 final bill between 1700 to 1800$, and you will have the pleasure of enjoying a processor right now. And who knows, maybe you will keep the UMC-200 because it is enough satisfying?
