So I currently have a Denon 4311 and XPA-5 in a 7.2 setup. So I use 2 channels from the Denon for rear duty. I am thinking about taking my spot and grabbing the XMC-1 and would need to add 2 channels of amplification, it seems the A100 is one of the better ones around. With all the being said, Space is a bit low in my rack so would it cause any harm to center the A100 right on top of the XMC-1...?

The XMC-1 tend to run warmer, so I think that it's a good idea to keep it free on top.
For 80$ more in new you can put a UPA-200 under the XMC-1, and less for b-stock.

For that application, I'd suggest a UPA-200 over the mini-X as well. I used a mini-X for rears and wasn't a fan.
Find space for a UPA-200, or wait for the XPA-7 and sell your XPA-5.
