Is the XPA-200, 120 or 150 watts @ 8ohms? I just received it today, specs on website says 150w @ 8ohms, but I'm looking at the manual that came in the box and specs shows 120w @ 8ohms in picture below. I tried searching to see if there are different generations, so far I believe there's only 1 gen of the XPA-200. I have no way of measuring the output from the amp's speaker terminals to verify. Can anyone clarify? From actual manual in box:
Power Output (rated power; THD < 1%): 120 watts / channel; into 8 Ohms; both channels driven. 240 watts / channel; into 4 ohms both channels driven)
From Emotiva's website:Power Output (rated power; THD < 1%): 150 watts / channel; into 8 Ohms; both channels driven. 240 watts / channel; into 4 ohms both channels driven)

On the website page resources for the XPA-200 if you click on the 8 ohms link for audio precision test emotiva.com/resources/media/xpa200/xpa200_8ohms.pdf, you'll see that they test it at 150w, that's why they wrote 150w on their website even if it originally designed for 120w.

It's probably both... depends on how they measured. I would go with the website

I'm surprised. Usually they have a power vs. distortion graph. Instead they just list this:
Generator Level: 1.110 Vrms Frequency: 1.00000 kHz Level (9/28/2012 1:32:16 PM) Ch1 149.5 W Ch2 150.8 W Gain (9/28/2012 1:32:16 PM) Ch1 29.871 dB Ch2 29.908 dB
Those are measured results.

I have an XPA-200 due in this coming Monday. Curious to see how it sounds with my venerable Spicas, compared to my existing C-J MV50 and NAD 2100.
Let us know your impressions!
Best from New Orleans...A.
