Hi!
Hopefully one of you can help me with the following problem: The ERC-2 CD loader is behaving strange since this morning.
After startup I ejected an CD, took him out and tried to insert another one. It came out again. Tried again but he did not accept it. Tried a few aothers ones, same thing. Then I turned the ERC-2 to stand-by and on again. After startup the status on the ERC-2 shifted between wait and loading. I could hear the mechanism move inside. After complete power off and on nothing changed, the same status shift.
Looked in the manual, there was nothing to read about this behaviour.
Is there a complete reset possibility?
Best regards,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Sorry to hear about your problem with your ERC-2. To answer your question no there is not a complete reset possibility. I had a similar problem about a year after I got my ERC-1. I would put a CD in the player and it would say loading but the CD would not play. I contacted Emotiva's service department. I had to send mine in for repair. They replaced the loader, and it's been fine since it's four years old now. I had to eat the cost of shipping the unit back to them but the repair was free as was the return shipping. They do a fine job. Contact them ASAP good luck j.

I had the same problem with my ERC-1 a few months back, it unfortunately was no longer on warranty, I ended up finding an online store in China that actually sold the complete drive and I purchased one and replaced it myself, though if your ERC-2 is under warranty still I suggest calling them and getting a repair ticket made as it will need repair.

I've send an email to support, no reply until now.
There is still garanty on the unit but I'm living in Norway so I hope that they are willing to send the loading unit to me so I can replace it myself. If I have to send the ERC-2 to Emotiva it will cost more then buying an new ERC-3......
Update!!!! I got a reply from the service department, they are going to send the replacement loader unit to me. I will have to replace it myself, that's not a problem for me. Great service from Emotiva!
