All songs stream in lossless FLAC, with 35 million tracks.

Hopefully this competition will result in lower streaming prices

Just read that this will be available only to Sonos owners What? That's BS! Maybe so. I would contact the writer of this article www.engadget.com/2014/09/10/deezer-elite/and Deezer directly to let them know of their errors in reporting. Quote - "Deezer Elite, a new subscription option that pipes lossless, FLAC-encoded tunes solely to Sonos devices."

I've signed up for the Deezer Elite. On the 30 day trial now. So far so good. In addition to Sonos, you have account access for non Sonos devices included in the membership. Works out to $9.99 per month if you sign up for 12 or 24 months; $14.99 on a per monthly basis.
Edit: About five days in and I absolutely love it. The big plus for me is the number of full flac albums available to listen to. Great quality, easy to use within the Sonos app. Haven't used the smartphone premium deezer much yet, but the elite is an absolute keeper.

I have been using Spoify and love it for casual listening. My only quibble with streaming services is that, like netflix, stuff seems to go away. I am guessing due to licensing issues. That's why I just stick with the free versions. Endless amounts of free, legal music at my fingertips. If it ever gets removed from their library, I have nothing to cry about as I haven't paid a cent! LOL!

I use free Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, iheartradio, Aupeo! and have a couple of others loaded, but don't use them much. The high res flac files via Sonos is what got me interested, and the access to so much music in album form has me hooked.

I see they have 35 million tracks, but I wonder what it is like since it is based out of another country. My assumption would be that tracks popular in the US would be included as part of a move into the market.

The selection is pretty extensive. I like listen to music in album form. Pick the artist, select discography, and for the most part pretty full catalogs. I listen to mostly 70s and 80s stuff, with some 90s sprinkled in. The artist search also provides a radio station with similar type tracks, a similar artist tab, and a top tracks option. You can try Deezer Elite for Sonos free for 30 days. My guess is you'll want to keep it. My mind was made up after 3 days. I signed up for 2 years @ $9.99 month plus the free month. I haven't turned on my media player (with hard drive flac files) since I signed up.

I noticed they mentioned Google Chromecast as being available in other countries. So, signed up for the news letter to see if it comes to the US. They also mentioned BOSE options as well.

I signed up a few days ago for the thirty day free trial on Sonos.
Sounds great and the streaming has no glitches or drops. Actually seems more robust than Beats. The catalogue selection is great, basically equivalent to Beats. The search is also better as it corrects for spelling.
There is still a problem though. About one album out of five is not getting imported into my queue. It shows up as not found. I assume this is why it is still beta. I will send them feedback, but I assume they have already heard this from others.
Once they fix this, this will be a clear upgrade over Beats, and at the annual rate will save me some money as well.
It now makes little sense to keep digital media. I much prefer streaming cd quality than finding the physical disk and loading it in CD player.
It has never been better to be a music lover.
