Production of their live shows. The video is intentionally grainy and a little "Art house" - but it matches the mood of the music well and gives a nice visual compliment to the soundtrack. Speaking of the soundtrack, it's one of the best live recordings I've ever heard - TrueHD DTS in full surround, absolutely glorious. If you're a fan of their music it's an outstanding experience - and if you've never heard them before and are looking for something a little out of the ordinary - I can't recommend this enough. Truly a great production from this generation's Pink Floyd. Video 6/10 Audio 9/10 Content 10/10.

I own the bluray of this album as well. I have some friends that can't stand to listen to it, but others who automatically go to it for a listen when they come over. I love it, and it is a great album so showcase your system on.

I saw them live way back in 2005 at the Michigan Theater, front row and center. Was a great show.

I had the opportunity to see them live while I was in college. They actually played at a small liberal arts school in Grand Rapids, MI, where I was a student at the time. I didn't know much about them before that show, but since then I've been a huge fan of both their music and visual work. Its probably is the best live show I've been too. Nothing brings out emotions in me like their music. Great stuff; thanks for sharing. And, by the way, they have two songs off of this album available for free download on their site. I will likely buy the entire album soon.

Someone compared Sigur Ros with Pink Floyd. All things considered (the outdated factor first), IMHO, you can find more honesty (not just mere effects that impress the ear) and music philosophy in Svefn-G-Englar than in entire Pink Floyd corpus.

Not going to disagree with that statement at all One of the most creative bands out there. "Heima" was a great watch as well - features footage from their Iceland homecoming tour - stunning scenery and sounds to match.
