Hi Guys
Just discovered a bug with the headphone output, it was ok the other day but when I tried some phones today while it was on there was no output to the phones, changing the volume didn’t rectify the problem, unplugging them and putting them back in solved nothing, only the headphone out was affected not the output to the amp. The only thing that would resolve the problem was turning off the XSP-1 off and then back on with the headphones plugged in. I also tried turning it off from the back and unplugging the XSP-1, hoping that would resolve the issue, no luck.
I then reset the max volume on for the headphones and it has appeared to fix the glitch, so that the headphone output now functions normally. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi rob, thanks for the kind words a couple of days ago.
I just tested my XSP-1 for your headphone problem and my results are negative. I truly think this is the best money spent for a pre, I hope your problem is solved. If not, Emo and team will fix you up.
Let me know if there's anyth else I can do for you.
Nick

I used the headphone out on the XSP-1 gen 2 when I used it. No issues.

Ya, couldn’t get the issue to reoccur, so just to clarify, it happened while listening to a CD from input #1 through the speakers and just plugged in the headphones. Chalk it up to a “microprocessor” gremlin.

Rob, the exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I spent over an hour trying to get the headphone jack to output power and just couldn't figure it out. I decided to check the forum and ran across your very old post. I powered off my XSP-1, put my headphones in the jack, powered it back on, and sure enough it's working again.
Thanks!
