I just upgraded my XPA 100s to XPA 1s and am happy with them in every way except one. I run power hungry Maggie 3.7i's with DWM bass panels, so I really need the power.
The one minor concern is that the transformers on both units put out a small noise. It is in the amplifier itself and does not in any way come out through the speakers. It is fairly low level and only noticeable during softer passages of music. However it is something which I would like to fix.
I assume I am hearing the transformers. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this? Is this what the CMX2 is designed to eliminate? Other suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Is it clicking or a hum? Clicking can be fixed by loosening a fastening nut on it. Humming MAY be fixed with the CMX. It also may be a defect.

Thanks for the reply
I am pretty sure it is not a defect. Both units make the exact same low level hum upon turn on. I measure it as 42 Db loudest over the physical mid point of each XPA1. Again there is absolutely zero hum coming out of the speakers. Dead quiet.
The XPA100's do not have this transformer hum in my room.
