We all like a lot of songs, but sometimes I hear one that I really like and resonate with. The guy who wrote the lyrics was looking into his past (I think) and for me it find it very powerful even though my upbringing was nothing like this. Anyway, its just a "little ditty" and ends rather oddly and abruptly. What (if anything) do you take from
"Tears For A Father"? BTW, 7th Wonder is one of my favorite bands.

Too sad for me, couldn't listen to the end. But I liked it...

Sorry Ed ( can I call you Ed ? ) I realized before you posted I hadn't made myself clear. lol No offense. Up until today our choices in music were very similar. This one didn't make the cut. Just my opinion..

Sorry Ed ( can I call you Ed ? ) I realized before you posted I hadn't made myself clear. lol No offense. Up until today our choices in music were very similar. This one didn't make the cut. Just my opinion.. I don't expect anyone to like all my choices nor was I expecting it. My musical taste runs from classical to death metal and everything in between. This song seems to tell a story about a father who deserted his son and family and the resulting alcoholism of the son's mother which happens all too often in this world. I thought the melody was nice and the lyric very powerful. Purely by accident I played it last weekend for a high school friend who had a similar early life experience/upbringing and he was overcome with emotion. He asked me for a copy... I was floored.
