If you can hear the delay from 6 foot longer speaker wire, just move your head 1/1000 of an inch to balance it out.

Better off without coiling speaker wires.

I would recommend both at 16 ft. A fixed length of wire equates to nothing more then an antenna. At 10ft that antenna is tuned for 96.7mhz and 16 ft is 60 mhz. The 96.7 lays right in the middle of fm broadcast radio. If your far enough away from the broadcast towers. Then do any length you want.it won't matter.

If my math is right and assuming the speed of electric current is at or near the speed of light, it would take 6 billionths of a second for the signal to travel the extra 6 feet. just wondering if that is trillionth of a second not billionths.. its a lot of zeros to count my calculator don't go that high..

I came up with .0000000061094 (assuming current flow at the speed of light which it doesn't quite reach under normal circumstances)

Speed of light = 186,000 mps which becomes 982,080,000 feet per second. 6 ft divided by 982,080,000 = 0.0000000061094

Sound does not travel at the speed of light (and neither does electricity, strictly speaking.) But the point remains: it just doesn't matter. Not at all.

Did you guys know that the closer you get to the speed of light time slows down. You guys be careful now !

No difference. Resale value of the cable would be less. Personally I keep mine the same. Can you hear a difference--I say no

I just tightly coil up the excess around an old iron reinforcement rod I found.
