I removed the top rear screws but it doesn't appear to be coming off. I want to try out the jumper.

I recently checked the jumpers in the DC-1 and I was surprised to find that the bass boost was off, opposite with what the default setup is supposed to be. Well anyways to open lid you also need to unscrew 6 screws on the left and right side top of case too. It might actually be just 4 screws, but they were there anyways. Check the manual if you need more help.

But I see what appears to be circular/allen wrench screws on the left and right side. Is that what you are talking about? I was hesitant because I didn't know if it was securing the inside circuits!

garbulky the instructions are on page 14 of the manual. emotiva.com/resources/manuals/stealth_DC-1_manual.pdfRemove the six screws securing the top cover, then remove the cover. (The cover hooks under the front panel on the front edge, so lift it up from the back edge and tilt it forward to remove it.) Sometimes on stuff like this you have to lift the back of the panel up before you pull it away from the front to disengage the lock taps on the front. Sometimes you have to pull pretty hard too. Hope this helps. Oh and the diagram in the manual shows you which screws to pull.

Also if your DC-1 is like mine, the screws on the sides require a hex shaped screwdriver while the back screws use the standard + shape. It doesn't make sense to make the sides use hex screws not as many people have them.
