Hi Seeing the "Currently Playing" thread (a thread that exists in almost every forum hehe) I thought for the most part it's just people posting what they're listening to but not many other people actually going through the thread and listening to "other peoples music". So I thought I'd ask. Who here regularly uses Spotify? If a couple of people are interested we could start an Emotiva shared playlist that everybody can add music to (everybody can delete the entire playlist as well harrharr but with it's worth a try). I imagine a playlist with everything from Bach over Bonamassa to German Techno hehe. Thoughts? If people are interested I'd say send me a pm and I'll send you the link. Cheers

Several people have posted that they have indeed listened to music others have posted. Being inspired to do so is one of the biggest benefits IMHO. How one listens is not relevant in the Currently Playing thread. With Spotify or any other streaming service, only members subscribing to that service will be interested. That reduces the scope largely. Lastly, "shared playlists" is like sharing footwear - not too many would want to and everyone has difference music preferences so I'm not sure how viable it'll be. All that said, I'm not trying to discourage you. In fact, I wish you the best and hope this gains traction.

Ah you might've misunderstood me there. I like the "currently playing" thread, I just suggested Spotify for ease of use in a normal setup. As soon as you have your PC connected to your speakers, browsing through the currently "playing thread" becomes a fun way to browse for new music.

I like the idea. Create a playlist that has all the songs listed. Can you choose individual titles in spotify?

I often see people post names or album covers and it can be hard to tell what the music is really like from that alone. I am also guilty of seeing something that peaks my interest, but I fail to write it down or make an effort to go and listen to it. If it were pre-loaded I might be more inclined to make an effort to listen to others lists. Is there any way to make a sub menu on a Spotify playlist? I think it might help out to try and categorize the options so members are sorting through tunes of genres that they really have no interest in.
