Help - I am a beat puppy. I need to install 4 UAC-8.2 speakers in my family room for Dolby Atmos. I have two installed into their ceiling holes. The problem is I cannot get the grills on. I have tried to get them on for 2 hours now without any luck. I am dead tired from trying. Does someone have the secrete? They look like hell without the grills.

Give Emotiva a call tomorrow morning. They will help you.

Mine just pressed in. What problems are you having?

Well, I've now managed to get two out of four installed. The problem is evenly pressing 360 degrees at once, especially over your head since the slightest cocking caused seizure. I've actually spent more time trying to install the grills than cutting the holes and installing the speakers.

I just installed my UAC-8.2s yesterday. Putting those grills back on was the only time I broke a sweat. Took me about 20min trying on each one. I think you've got it figured out though. It worked best when trying to evenly insert all sides at the same time.

Finally all 4 ceiling speakers are installed with grills on. I hope I never have to take the grills off for any reason. Now to install and rewire my entire system incorporating my new Marantz AV7702 pre-pro and my two 7 channel Emo/Sherborne amps (oh my aching back!).

These grilles go on tight, and I mean tight. If you are patient, and don't warp these grills, you should be okay. The trick is not to deform them using force all in one place. Believe it or not, on some vendors tight grills I used Vaseline in the rim of the frame, and the grills went in much easier. Yeah I know, sounds stupid, but it worked for me.

Same boat, no paddle. Took me 4 hours to install there grills. They do sounds great however. Im sure the grill adhesive is an inside joke at emotiva, there is no way glue is fitting in there.
Whats everyone using to power these? I am looking for 8-10 ish channel amp for use as a whole house audio system. (Emotiva amps are probably overkill for this application). Parts Express has a Dayton 12 channel that has my interest.

Look for a used Sherbourn multi zone amp like the Sherbourn PA 16-45 or check this thread out emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/29464/sherbourn-house-amp-htd or this company has some amps for your purpose as well www.htd.com/Products/multi-channel-amplifiers

HOW TO GET THE GRILLS BACK INI've been hearing about a lot of people having trouble getting the grills back on to our UAC ceiling speakers. This app note just might help:
