CMX-2 filter

Hi!

I have a technical question.

Base on my understanding, the CMX-2 should suppress DC offset coming from the main line, but could it also prevent / block any DC offset from entering the main.  As soon as my wife start using her air dryer at medium intensity (no impact at high speed), the transformers of my amplifier start making a hum.. 

I really want to fix the problem without touching my audio system.  Could I get rid of that DC offset by connecting my hair dryer with a CMC-2?

to give you more info,, my amp is a Moon 700i connected to a Shunyata V-Ray II with their dedicated line
