Hello everyone two weeks ago I bought 2 XPA-1L to build my first home theater system, are an international user (Italy), and here we have the Emotiva amps are not well known because of fear of potential service issues and little diffusion you do not have the ability to know how to play
Well I wanted to experience reading everywhere because everyone is satisfied with their value for money.
I have tested these amps and I must say that I meet have great power and looks great dynamics can drive any speaker with no problems.
Now the comparison was made with an X-A160 Advance Acoustic and AV Matantz this sounds softer and more musical then to soften a little the character of the XPA-1L I decided to take a pre Marantz AV-7702 as the tone of Marantz is more melodious than Onkio that makes it sound a little more mixed and too tiring to listen to (according to my taste)
After the long prologue I come to my question in your experience match the XPA-1L to the Paradigm would be a good idea, or as I have said are very similar to Klipsch and then extended periods would listen in the long run tiring and annoying or to use 90% HT 10% music would be a good choice? I await your advice before trying to buy a XPA-5 to complete my system ... thanks and sorry for the broken English I hope you understand

I personally know novisnick who runs a paradigm system and he owns both XPA-1 L's and XPR-1's. He definitely likes them I think you would like the match,

Fabris, Benvenuti a casa nostra!
Although I don't have the XPA-1Ls I do have Paradigms driven by a Sherbourn PA 7/350.
I agree with garbulky in that you will have a superb combo with your Paradigms for your stated use.

Paradigm,,,,Klipsch,,,,,I'm your man! I've owned both and have enjoyed both. I've driven both with XPR-1s and XPA-1L s and Oh what a joy. You just can't go wrong with any combination of this gear. Are there advantages to owning one amp over the otherYes and no. Love the over kill of the R series but in all honesty all you should need is the XPA-1L s, Also if one would EVER need repair they would be the cheapest to ship. I've owned two sets of the -1L s and have never had any problem with any of them. The only reason I've owned two sets is because I was stupid enough to sell the first set!!! Buy with confidence!!! Edit; welcome to our/your forum! We're one big happy family,,,,,,most of the time! If you have a family like mine,,,,,then you know what comes with it,,,,he,,,,he,,,,,he,,,,, , Edit #2; I just reread the thread title,,,,,Dah!!!!! Ive vey made this choice myself! I sold a set of Klipsch KF-28 which in no way compares to the price or sound of my Paradigm Studio 100s. I love the sound of the horns and contemplated purchasing the K-7II Klipsch but in the end went with the Studio 100s. I am very happy but I don't know what the 7II sound like, I wish I had had a chance to hear them but the opportunity never arose. That said, I love the sound, fit and finish of my Paradigms. Good luck with your selection. Either way I think you'll be a winner. Attachments:

Thank you all for the welcome I now want to try to listen to these Paradigm to be sure, although I do a lot of miles to be able to listen There will be major difference between the line Monitors and the line Studios ? I'd like to know if someone can tell me how they sound in stereo that is a little review to see if it could be the sound that I like, for movies I think there is no problem given the 'efficiency of the speakers then the XPA with their power will make a great show for the home theater

I'm a Phase Tech man myself. If you haven't listened to them, you're doing yourself a great disservice.

Paradigm Studio 100s, let me add that I've been playing with my subs in my configuration and while testing my HT I decided to run the subs through the AVR only. When I later went and listened to the 100s without any support of the subs the 100s not only have great sound but the bass is superb!
