I wonder what the EDID data for that display reads. You would need to hook up a PC to read it easily.

I've been having an issue with the receiver which seems to be a handshake issue? When I change the show/movie I'm watching on amazon fire tv, it seems to not recognize the audio mode and makes a REALLY loud static sound. I haven't had this problem with any of my receivers in the past. A friend of mine who has the umc200 has this same issue. His workaround is to mute the volume and click on the input which your using again and it seems to resync (for me it's hdmi 1). So far I'm EXTREMELY impressed w/ the sound quality, but very disappointed with the stability of the receiver.
I'll also note: I've tried to replicate the above issue with the yamaha receiver I used in the past and got absolutely no issues (aside from not liking the sound quality)

I have the same issue with an Amazon Fire TV. If I'm watching a series through Netflix when it goes to the next show I get that loud, "pop" and I lose all audio. I did a reset to regain audio. I'll definitely try the mute/unmute, input selection method next time.
