Hi all! I'm just getting my feet wet in the world of home A/V... I have a long history in car audio (specifically sound quality competition) and recently have been craving any sort of home system I can call reference. After much reading and debating, I have decided to purchase from what I've continuously read is the best bang for your buck manufacturer in the business. I pulled the trigger on an UMC-200 and UPA-200 to go along with a UPA-1 I found at a good price this weekend. They will be mated with some homemade towers and sub. Before too long I'll figure out the rest of my drivers, but this is a good step toward sonic bliss in my home to go with the sonic bliss in my car.  Looking forward to getting the gear in! Below is the current install in my vehicle, all DIY! Looking forward to putting what I've learned in that realm and applying here. Thanks for looking!  |

Welcome from the right coast!  We have a lot in common as my experience before home audio was mobile installs. I didn't compete or do any crazy high dollar stuff but certainly had/have my share of great systems in terms of S Q.
I'm still running the old Clarion DRZ-9255 head unit with a Zuki 4 ch Eleets (replaced Mac 6 ch) Focal Utopia 6.5s comps etc.
Muuuuuch easier to get excellent sound from a home environment.

Quick update. Got notification that my packages had been left at my front door around 12:30 Friday. Get home around 9:00 that evening to find no packages. I had asked my neighbors, who work from home, to keep an eye out. They ended up being out most of the afternoon and never saw any packages that day.  ? |

Welcome to the lounge, lots of good people here, and talented. You will learn allot here. I was from L.A. too. Emotiva audio will get you the performance, and quality you expect from allot more, but dies not cost allot more. Hope you enjoy your Emotiva experience.

So, another update on the missing packages... I walk out my front door this morning to find the boxes... Empty. I'm guessing whomever took the stuff lives very close. Probably the last package I have sent to my home address.  Luckily, Emotiva's customer service has been top notch and have already set the wheels in motion to get the replacements! |

Wow that really stinks. I wish Emo would go back to the policy of requiring a signature for delivery. I've had a couple of Amazon orders stolen in the past couple of months, one just this past Sunday. From now on all orders are being sent to my office instead of the house - sad that this has to be done. Anyway, I hope you get your replacement orders quickly! (by the way I'm in the L.A. area, too)
