Yeah, I hope these newer, yet older designed Diamondbacks I just ordered from Amazon don't exhibit the same problem!

Update... 2m Diamondbacks arrived and installed. Zero issues, just back to the ever so slight hiss from the tweeters... Guess that new AudioQuest plug design isn't that good...

Excellent news on the new XLR cables.
I was curious which ones I'd used between my DC-1 and XPR-1's, so I just checked my old order from Amazon. Turns out it was "GLS Audio 12ft Mic Cable Patch Cords". I bought them almost 2 years ago and they've been perfect. How time flies........

Your DC-1 to XPR-1s must sound great !! Would you please describe the sound your speakers put out?, ie,,highs lows and mids. Thanks This is a requirement for membership into the MS. CEO MONOBLOCKS SOCIETY novisnick membership is pending.

I think everyone should experience Mono blocks in their audio listening. They have the superior isolation, and flexibility, and superior Sonics we music, and movie viewers crave. Emotiva has a great range of Mono block amplifiers. One, or more solutions, I am sure will be right for you. If I was doing mono blocks, the XPA-1L would be it. Where else do you get class A switchable performance. Legendary Emotiva power, all this in a easy 2RU chassis. Yeah I sound like commercial, but where else can you get all this, and more, for little. That is brand new, and ready to go!

Thanks They, of course, sound fan-friggin-tastic, with tight, deep room-filling (11,000 cu.ft) bass! Everything just sounds natural, top to bottom. Every time you sit down and listen, you just keep turning it up louder and louder as each new song comes on. The sound is so clean and smooth that you don't realize how loud you're listening, and it doesn't matter what genre of music you're listening to either.

That is brand new, and ready to go! Its great if you have the space and the $$$. I have experienced it in my buddies system. He has 3 XPR-1s (and XPR-2). The XPR-1 doesn't sound much different than the XPR-2. Also, he had the UPA1 "monoblocks" (if that's the correct term for them) and they were less than ideal for them. He switched them out (all 5) to the XPR-5 and couldn't believe the improvement in sound quality. It was so amazing, it got me to sell my XPA-5 and get the XPR-5. Just want to keep the "monoblocks" in context. The fact that it's a mono amp doesn't automatically make them great and they have a marginal improvement over its stereo counterpart amp. That said, the XPR-1s are amazing amps. But so is the XPR-2 and the XPR-5 . Also, I like to reserve the term monoblocks to amps where you need someone else to help you lift them. .

I should preface that some differences maybe realized in real life, some maybe not. I had the XPA-2, and loved It. I had a UPA-5. A UPA-500 and liked it too. A great amp is a great amp. But I think it is great Emotiva keeps everyone happy.
