I have been using the Emotiva DC-1 Stealth DAC in an office setting. I unpacked and started setting up hte Emotiva XDA-2 generation 2 DAC. The screws on the DC-1 remote are tiny phillips heads. The screws on the XDA-2 remote are allen heads. I would suggest the following:- consistent use of screws in Emotiva products -- either Phillips or allen head - consider including an appropriate sized allen screw driver with XDA-2 (would be very convenient) I suspect that the allen had screws have less chance of stripping the screw heads At first I thought these were torx heads (good comparison chart here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torx)Mike

I see what you mean on the different fasteners. Hopefully all the metal remotes will use magnets like the XMC-1 remote does. A nice easy solution.

I got a allen head screw driver and opened XDA-2 remote. The back panel is magnetized. This is a nice touch. Beefy remote. No name batteries inside. I like the allen head screws better than Phillips, even if not as easy access for a tool for most people. Interestingly, I was trying remote and noticed it also registered on the (also on and unconnected Emotiva DC-1) -- but different signals/results. I wonder why uniform remote signals weren't used for both? Mike
