Hey Mike, Welcome to the lounge. You'll either have to use a reshipper, or pick it up at the border or buy a used one... They don't budge on their policies. I had an xpr-2 shipped up to me via fedex back in the day, it arrived flawless.. But... Policy has changed. I know it's a bummer I wanted an xpa-7 so bad, Again no international shipping.

I got may XPR2 shipped to the boarder and went over to get it myself. Worked out great and saved a few fees. But it does take time so I guess it depends on "how much your time is worth". Love the amp, but it does run significantly hotter than my XPA amp, so don't try to put it in a small closet or stacked with other electronics atop it without GOOD ventilation. I got mine B stock to save a bit more with the same warranty Good luck

Thanks Mike Hey Mike, I have had numerous stuff from Emotiva shipped to the border and I cross over and pick it up and when I cross back over into Canada I get charged the federal and provincial tax which works out to be 13% in Manitoba. As far as shipping goes I just give Emotiva the address of the business I ship it to, in my case the closest one is a business in North Dakota called Border Shipping Services which is 5 miles on the US side of the border and they ship it to them and I go pick it up there and bring it back. If and when you do this make sure Emotiva emails you a receipt with total purchase prices on it as you will need to print up the receipt and bring it with you to Canada customs so they know how much Tax to charge you, they get very upset when you don't have this info. I am only an hour each way to pick stuff up so gas is usually around $40 give or take which is cheaper than shipping costs into Canada for heavy packages. Also Boomzilla here on the lounge has had both the XPR-2 and XPA-1L's and has notice very very little difference between the two amps, I have also owned these amps and liked them very much, they are lighter and are able to be shipped to your door in Canada and can be placed closer to the speaker if wanted as they are sweet little monoblocks, or if you need more power the XPA-1's are bigger but do ship to your door as well. Hope this helps, Chad

Got the quote myself. Emo said I had to take care of myself because of the partnership they have with Bongo.

That was the quote I got from Freight Quote for one 40"x48"x24" pallet weighing 500lbs class 70 in CAD, there was actually cheaper options. Am I missing something? Of course there is all the other fees that I'm guessing will add up to about another $500cad or so.
Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Sorry for the slow response, over the holidays I haven't sat in front of my computer. For anyone out in BC I've used Point to Point Parcel in Point Roberts, WA for a few shipments. Both my XPR2 from Emotiva and for both of my XV15se subs from PSA. Never had a problem and they have very reasonable fees, quick service and less than a few hundred feet from the boarder crossing. And the border crossing time at Point Roberts is about 5 minutes. Simply sign up with Point to Point before you ship, then you just have the item shipped to them, addressed to YOU at their address. They hold your parcels until you sign for them. Happy New Year all
