Hi.. Using my Mac mini need some advice . I have an external usb bluray player that I usually use to extract full bluray for mkv storage.. What do you guys use to extract the full sacd to Alac? I have been trying to get it out full and having no luck - assume each track should be a higher bit rate than 800kbps ? I Have tried using xld and let iTunes but no luck.. Suggestions?

It is very difficult to extract dsd from sacd I understand. That is the point for the record companies.
You can use a certain vintage Playstation 3 I understand. Expect to pay a premium for those.
Me, I just play them and record the analog out. It is basically a needle drop, and it does NOT sound as good as if I could rip them, but it does sound good.
Perhaps someone else will know of a secret method!

The only way I know of to rip SACD is to get an early model PS3 that has not had it's firmware upgraded and then get the free firmware and software on the net for that purpose. There are zero computer drives that can read the DSD layer on SACDs. Zero, zip, zilch, nada.
