So do we need to point the mic to each speaker during dirac. Maybe I'll get my 8 year old to do it since he takes up less space than me .

Funny but no, just use Tony's math file or the 90 deg I provided let us know what you think. I personally found that with my over stuffed couch that positioning the mic a little higher produced a better result. Remember room correction can only do so much. If you cut off your finger a bandaid just aint goin to cut it. LOL

I wonder if this information is/will delay the release of the Dirac upgrade and 2.01 firmware! My guess is yes.

It seems a reboot can remove many setting related problems.
However, in relation to your post about turning "Loudness" on to compensate for Dirac winding down the bass (because it measures it at higher than it is in relation to the higher frequencies), Loudness is not an acceptable workaround because Dirac is not calibrating the bass properly for room response and then Loudness is a non compensatory approximation "fudge" based on assumed hearing thresholds to dial it back up again.
Perhaps you have me confused with another. I don't advocate the use of "Loudness"; I find it does too much, and makes the music too muddy and thick and affects music too high into the tenor, not just the bass. The "Loudness" is unusable for me. I was suggesting judicious boosting of the subs ( "Setup/Speakers/Dirac/Levels/subwoofer/").
What do you all think of the "Loudness"?
Sincerely /b

I like it loud I do use the loudness feature when I am listening low and sometimes with tv shows but usually I change the bass level with the emo remote.

Tony, thanks for the hard work, I hope Emotiva can confirm your findings and and do a firmware fix soon.

Worked for me, the address starts at onedrive.... don't include the narrow band or 1/3 octave in the address. They did open up for me without the delimiting so it is all in one line instead of the correct cal file formatting. That could just be my PC though.

Thanks. Wasn't one of these to be the EMM w/CS cal file?

wasn't able to do any write ups - I will try to get something up later. But these files might have to be modified to work in Dirac. I am not sure if the phase can be there.

Correct. The math calibration just needs to be dropped into the folder overwriting the emotiva one. Then when dirac is opened, it will load my file into it.

I wonder if this information is/will delay the release of the Dirac upgrade and 2.01 firmware! My guess is yes. I would think and hope not. There are a couple of bugs and issues such as the chirp during switching that hopefully will be addressed in 2.01. I would hate to have to wait for two month's while Dirac and Emotiva work through Tony's findings and research and then test on their end and and then maybe or not incorporate any changes. People have been waiting fairly patiently for the Full Dirac version and you know they won't be happy if that is delayed. Just my .02. Please don't fry me for my thoughts.

Ok something I never mentioned. Open the files in wordpad and then save as a txt file they will then be formatted correctly when opened in notepad and should work fine. I was headed to work when I posted this morning I should have waited until lunch and saved the files correctly.
